The Shops at Hudson Lights to Welcome NYC-based Ultramodern 24/7 Table-Tennis-On-Demand Concept

Building on the success of its five popular New York City locations, PingPod, the 24/7 futuristic table-tennis-on-demand concept, has announced its expansion to New Jersey, signing a lease for space at The Shops at Hudson Lights in Fort Lee.

PingPod Fort Lee will feature four ping pong tables in its 1900 square foot space, says co-founder David Silberman, creator of the PingPod concept. “Hudson Lights offers PingPod a perfect fit for our first non-urban location because it provides a varied demographic drawn by its entertainment, dining and shopping attractions, which include an iPic Theater. PingPod’s presence will add a recreational activity to the mix – something to do before or after a meal or a movie – a safe and comfortable space for all people from retired adults to young families. PingPod’s appeal ranges from casual players looking for social play to expert players training for their next tournaments.”

Estimated opening is early 2023. The space will feature four tables that can be reserved online through the website or recently launched iOS app. The venue can also be a space for private parties, kids classes and expert coaching.

PingPod launched in 2020 on the Lower East Side, adding a second location on West 37th Street in 2021, followed by Williamsburg, Astoria and the Upper East Side. It was started by three partners: Ernesto Ebuen, a preeminent coach/player formerly ranked #1 in the US; Max Kogler, former COO/CFO of Super Soccer Stars; and David Silberman.

PingPod’s unique business model is a network of the world’s first tech-enabled table tennis “pods,” open 24/7. Pods are typically street-level retail spaces with one to six tables, available to rent in 30-minute increments through PingPod’s proprietary iOS app. They are 100% autonomous (no staff, people sign up and access each “pod” to play) and have a highlight reel system that lets folks capture their greatest hits (or misses), here.
