The Texas Smash remain one of the most formidable franchises in Major League Table Tennis (MLTT), consistently contending in the competitive West Division. In the inaugural MLTT, they finished second in the West before winning the Cup in the tournament. In the 2024-25 year, they finished second overall, falling the the final of the Cup. And in the most recent 2025-26 season, they fell just short of the playoffs – finishing third in the West. The Smash have built a reputation as one of the strongest teams, and you can expect to see them contending again in the upcoming season.
The team is now led by coach Paul Drinkhall, bringing elite international experience to the sideline. The 2026 roster blends proven veterans with exciting new additions. American fans will look forward to seeing Americans Amy Wang and Nandan Naresh. Top players include England’s David McBeath and Japan’s Hiromitsu Kasahara.
This mix of homegrown talent, returning anchors, and high draft picks gives the Smash both depth and versatility. As MLTT expands its reach, the Texas Smash are well-positioned to chase another championship and deliver thrilling table tennis to fans across Texas and the US.
