ITTF eyes North American market
Table tennis could soon be making waves in the biggest sporting market in the world.

Fans can expect more table tennis action coming out of North America in the future.

Off the back of a successful ITTF Women’s World Cup staged in Canada, North America looks ready to welcome more table tennis events to its shores.

2016 was the first time a World event took place on the continent, and the move is already showing dividends.

Springing from the success generated from holding the 2017 Women’s World Cup, 2018 will see an increase in prize money for the Men’s and Women’s World Cup.

With sports in North America set to generate a revenue of over 70 billion U.S. dollars, it accounts for the largest share of the global market. This marks an untapped potential for ITTF to expand.

Check out what ITTF CEO Steve Dainton has to say about what North America could mean for table tennis.
