The final events in the Dussedorf Masters Series was held today.  It included Timo Boll as the top seed, the 2020 Duseldorf points champion (Dang Qiu), the young German points leader (Cedric Meissner), and a pair of Swedes (Anton Kallberg and Kristian Karlsson).

Meissner fell early – his earliest loss of the whole Series – losing in the Round of 16 to Kirill Fadeev 3-2.  Benno Oehme, another young German who entered the day in third in total points, fell to Dang Qiu in the Quarterfinals.  The final four were the top 4 by ranking with Boll facing Kallberg and Qiu matched up against Karlsson.

The Semifinals were dominated by the Swedes.  Kallberg topped Boll 3-1, and Karlsson topped Qiu by the same 3-1 score.  Kallberg then topped his teammate with a 3-1 score to take the title of the final Dusseldorf event.

This is a series with accumulation of points over all seven events.  The event winner gets 50 points, second place gets 40 points, semifinalists are awarded 30 points.  Kallberg’s final two weeks, finishing second last week and first this week combined with his win in the first week – make him the winner.  Cedric Meissner, who led most of the series, finishes second.  And Duda, who at one point won two events in a row, finishes third.
