This Ask the Experts question was answered by Min Kim. She is the coach at MK Georgia Table Tennis in Duluth, Georgia. Coach Kim’s response is below:

Hi Aymane,  Firstly, if you can, find a coach that used to be a professional player.  Secondly, prepare and research to compete in national competitions in Morocco. Thirdly, research if there is a try out to be on the Morocco national team.  Lastly, there are 2 different types of international competitions: open competitions (anyone can sign up to compete) and competitions for players in their national team (such as the Olympics). The fastest way to understand how to become a pro is to find a former professional coach that has experience in all the steps I mentioned.  Good luck!!  Best regards,  Min Kim  MK Georgia Table Tennis Academy  Stay “In The Loop” with Butterfly professional table tennis equipment, table tennis news, table tennis technology, tournament results, and We Are Butterfly players, coaches, clubs and more.
