Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Blade: Timo Boll Spirit
Forehand: Tenergy 05-FX
Backhand: Tenergy 05-FX

Question: Dear Sir/Madam:

I have recently replaced my rubbers and currently I play with Tenergy 05-FX. The rubbers are great and full of spin as it was expected and I enjoy it a lot. However, it seems that Tenergy 05-FX is a bit fast and out of control for me.

As I am not willing to change my new rubbers, do you recommend that I change my blade (Timo Boll Spirit) and replace it with a bit slower/softer one such as Innerforce ALC or something else?

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Answer: Hi Behrouz,

Thanks for your question and interest in Butterfly equipment.

I recommend for your to try the Timo Boll W5 blade over of your current Timo Boll Spirit or your idea of the Innerforce ALC blade. Since you are looking for more control I think the 5 ply, all wood Timo Boll W 5 blade is a better fit for you. The blade is slower, little bit harder and it provides the perfect balance with the increased control and Tenergy 05-FX.

I hope you will enjoy your new equipment.

Best,
