Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Blade: Double Happiness
Forehand: Sriver
Backhand: None

Question: I would like to change rubber to get more spin, my speed is good, this rubber is 20+ years on this paddle. I am not sure what to look for or how the sponge and pimple length effect the ball. What do you think my options are? I like to smash the ball, and stay close to the table, but don’t mind being away from it.

Coach Jinxin Wang, Ask The Experts

Answer: Hi Doug ,

I strongly recommend you use Butterfly TENERGY 05, because It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin and super speed on the ball.

I, myself have been using Butterfly TENERGY 05 as my forehand rubber since 2008. It can handle both spinning loop and smash close to the table. It should suit you perfectly and meet your needs.

Best of luck!

Coach Wang
