Another Headline for Kanak Jha

Just a week after making headlines for defeating World No. 7 Wong Chung Ting to pull off the biggest upset of the World Team Cup, Kanak Jha is in the news again.  ITTF has released the March World Rankings for U18 Men, and Kanak has earned the No.1 ranking.
The jump is not a complete surprise, as he was previously in the third position.  Jha’s decisive title at the World Junior Circuit Finals last month helped him advance from third to first.  This follows a 2017 where Jha won junior titles in Argentina and Croatia.  This has been a truly historic couple of weeks for Kanak Jha and the USA.  We can’t wait to see what next week brings.
