Announcing the PongMobile Cup 2019
(by Steve Hopkins)

Washington DC Table Tennis will host the first PongMobile Cup this February.  The stated goal is to offer the most prestigious table tennis team event in the capital area.

The tournament will take place on Sunday, February 17, 2019.  The MDCTT club at 6403 Chillum Pl NW in Washington, DC will be the tournament venue.

There will be space for 14 teams only.  These 3-person teams are capped at 6000 rating points.  The event will be played in a Swiss format where there will be 7 rounds with the first match being randomly drawn and the following rounds determined by results.  A win of 3-0 is awarded 2 points, and a 2-1 win awards 1 point.

The tournament venue, WDCTT, is the only full-time table tennis center in Washington DC. It is four miles from the University of Maryland, College Park campus, Takoma Park, Silver Spring and Hyattsville. Chevy Chase and Bethesda are only 6 miles away. Due to its unique location, it is a convenient table tennis facility for both DC and Maryland residents. Come enjoy table tennis with us today.

PongMobile offers a table tennis website with rating search, tournament listing, and club information.  Visit PongMobile.com for more information.
