Steve Moreno Closes The Pan American Championship With 3 Gold Medals

Steven Moreno was proclaimed Men’s Individual Champion of the U-13 category of the 2022 ITTF Pan American U-11 & U-13 Championships, which took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from September 17 to 24, 2022.

This won in the final to his compatriot and teammate, Enrique Ríos 3-1.  It should be noted that Steven and Enrique had a dream championship, finishing the competition with an undefeated record against all the opponents from the 14 countries they faced in their participation in the categories; for teams, men’s doubles and individual, between them they won a total of 34 matches establishing a Pan American record for this category.

Steven Moreno finished first in the group by beating Pacheco from Chile and López from Brazil both 3-0. Then he went to the single elimination bracket beating Gonzales of Colombia in the round of 16 in the quarterfinals he beat the American Ryan Lin, in the semifinal the Brazilian Okano and in the final his teammate Enrique.
