Three Americans Named to 2022 ITTF Hopes Squad

On Friday, the ITTF released the names of their Hopes Squad selections.  Ten boys and ten girls will participate in the 2022 pathway events.  Included in the list of girls are two Americans –  Mandy Yu and Tashiya Piyadasa.  Included in the list of boys is USA’s Ryan Li and Puerto Rico’s Enrique Yezue Rios Torres.

This Hopes Squad selection is the first step towards Hopes Team.  That is, this group of 10 boys and 10 girls will be the core from which the 4 person Boys Hopes Team and 4 person Girls Hopes Team will be chosen.  Congratulations to our three American Mandy, Tahiya, and Ryan, and congratulations to Puerto Rico’s Enrique as well.  Good luck to each of you in the Hopes events this year.
