Dignics 09C interview with top player Cheng I-Ching

” Dignics 09C ” released on April 1, 2020 . This rubber has attracted the attention of many users as a sticky rubber with high tension rubber momentum, but already used by some top players such as Boll (Germany), Ochcharov (Germany) and has achieved good results.
In this project, we will approach the potential of this rubber from the comments of top players who changed the equipment used to Dignics 09C.

I Ching
CHENG, I-Ching (Chinese Taipei)

Style: Shakehand Attacker

Titles: Second place in the Hungarian Open in 2020
Dynamic play and soft touch. Ace to lead the Chinese Taipei Women

Forehand rubber: Dignics 09C
Backhand rubber: Tenergy 05 Hard

“After switching to Dignics 09C, the ball touch has been sharpened.” – CHENG, I-Ching

I’ve always wanted a “feeling of holding the ball”, and one of my tasks was to find a rubber that could achieve that. At that point, Dignics 09C clearly felt the sense of holding the ball, so I changed my forehand rubber from Dignics 05 to Dignics 09C.

The sensation of holding the ball, the high frictional force, and the ability of the drive to go deeper into the opponent’s court also became a decisive factor in choosing Dignics 09C.

Since I changed to Dignics 09C, I think that my overall forehand technique has become more stable, the quality has improved, and the range of change in play has widened.

Above all, there is a change in the ball at the time of the attack, such as forehand drive and counter-drive with forehand, and there is a feeling that the opponent can hit the ball which is difficult to respond.

Dignics 09C is a rubber that is recommended for players who play close to the table, as the throw angle of the ball is slightly lower when compared to Dignics 05 that I used before.

I also feel that my touch (at contact) has improved since I started playing with Dignics 09C. I think that the touch has been sharpened and that good feeling has been utilized in my game.
