WAB Featured Club: Denver Table Tennis Alliance
(by Steve Hopkins)

Located on Curtis Street, just North of the city center, in Denver, is the Denver Table Tennis Alliance. The club is open six days per week – every day except for Tuesdays.

The club features 8 butterfly tables, barriers, great lighting, and Gerflor rubber flooring. The great facility is combined with a friendly atmosphere to provide a great place where table tennis knowledge and experience are freely shared and available to all. With all of these characteristics, the Denver Table Tennis Alliance are proud to say their Club took the lead from the beginning.

The Director is Angelo Gandullia who has many years of experience as a coach and knows how important it is to have the best facility and equipment possible to teach, and also how important is to remain in good form and be competitive. Students at Denver Table Tennis Alliance can learn and practice with a coach who participates, trains, and drills with them.

In past years, Denver Table Tennis Alliance has explored options to work with schools in the Denver area. This grass roots development is the main path to keeping the sport alive and strong – we need to ensure that new generations of players join this wonderful Olympic sport.

With a constantly increasing number of Club Members, students, and regular visitors, the Denver Table Tennis Alliance is optimistic that the Club will keep leading. As Director Gandullia says – the goal when the club was started continues to be the goal today: Not to be the biggest, just the BEST Table Tennis Club in Colorado!
