Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Question:
I am an intermediate cpen player for the last 2 years and playing style is like Wang Hao Chinese player. My setup is the Stiga blade and the Donic rubbers as mentioned above. I am thinking to upgrade my setup to butterfly cpen blade and also the butterfly rubber for both my FH and BH.

Currently I am interested on Hadraw VR-CS with Rozena rubber setup and also the Innerforce Layer ACL.S-CS and Innerforce Layer ZLC-CS, of which from the reviews they are all very good. Please kindly advice which one should I get ultimately?

Thank you

This the Experts question was answered by Coach Jun Gao. She is the head coach at California Table Tennis in Rosemead, CA. Coach Gao’s response is as follows:

Hi Ning Zan,

I would recommend the Hadraw VR-CS withRozena if your playing style is like Wang Hao, looping from both sides and not too close to the table.

For intermediate level players, you need more control instead of speed and power. The Hadraw VR-CS is an all wood blade which will help you feel the ball better. The Innerforce Layer ALC.S-CSand Innerforce Layer ZLC-CS should be you choice for next step.

Best wishes!

Coach Gao
