10th Butterfly Swaythling Club Open Tournament Brings Together 70 Players from Across Ecuador

Quito, Ecuador – June 20, 2026 –

The 10th Butterfly Swaythling Club Open Tournament was held at the Pichincha Table Tennis Center, bringing together 70 players from Quito and nearby cities including Riobamba, Ambato, Ibarra, Manta, and Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. The tournament continues to establish itself as one of Ecuador’s leading open table tennis events.

The competition featured mixed Novice, Intermediate, and Open divisions, allowing men and women to compete together within the same categories. This format promotes inclusion, equal opportunities, and a higher level of competition for all participants.

Throughout the event, players demonstrated excellent technical ability, determination, and sportsmanship, reflecting the continued growth and development of table tennis in Ecuador.

Butterfly, the tournament’s official sponsor, provided the Butterfly R40+ as the official competition ball, helping ensure high-quality playing conditions that met modern table tennis standards.

Swaythling Club remains committed to creating competitive opportunities that help grow and strengthen table tennis throughout Ecuador.

The table tennis community is already invited to participate in the 11th Butterfly Swaythling Club Open Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Pichincha Table Tennis Center. The event will once again feature mixed Novice, Intermediate, and Open divisions.

Swaythling Club will continue working to strengthen this tournament as a platform for competition, sportsmanship, and the ongoing development of table tennis for players of all ages and skill levels.
