Petra Sörling, President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and Chair of the WTT Board said: “Butterfly has contributed enormously to the growth of our sport over many decades, not only through innovation and equipment, but through a deep understanding of the needs of players at every level. Their commitment to WTT Champions Yokohama is a significant investment in the continued development and promotion of table tennis.”

Takako Osawa, President and Managing Director of Tamasu Co., Ltd. (Butterfly), said: “We are very pleased that Butterfly will serve as the Official Table and Ball Partner for WTT Champions Yokohama 2026. WTT Champions is one of the premier events in the WTT Series, bringing together the world’s top players and showcasing the appeal, excitement and intensity of table tennis to audiences in Japan and around the world.”

She added: “We believe it is highly significant for table tennis in Japan that this event will once again be held in Japan following last year’s edition. We are committed to supporting the event by helping create an environment where players can compete with confidence and perform at their very best, while also enabling spectators to fully experience the excitement and appeal of table tennis.”

Bringing together the world’s top 32 Men’s Singles and top 32 Women’s Singles players, WTT Champions events represent the highest level of competition outside of the Grand Smash events and season-ending WTT Finals. Every match is a heavyweight contest, with the sport’s biggest names battling for prestigious titles, valuable ranking points and prize money on the WTT Champions stage.
