Recognizing Leadership, Excellence, and Sportsmanship On and Off the Table
Bowmar is proud to celebrate the announcement that Jessie Xu has been named Table Tennis Canada’s 2025 Athlete of the Year. This honor, awarded to Jessie for the second consecutive year, reflects her continued dedication, resilience, and growth in the sport.
The announcement, made on Mother’s Day (May 11, 2025), adds a personal touch to what has been a remarkable year for Jessie. Her 12-year journey in table tennis, nurtured entirely on Canadian soil, showcases her consistent hard work, strong mentorship, and commitment to improvement.
Jessie’s 2024 season was highlighted by her performance at the Canadian National Championships, where she earned three singles titles in the events she participated in:
  • Women’s Singles Champion (Senior Championships)
  • U19 Girls’ Singles Champion
  • U17 Girls’ Singles Champion
Additionally, Jessie played a key leadership role in guiding Team Ontario’s U19 Girls Team to victory, reflecting not only her competitive spirit but also her ability to support and inspire her teammates.
Beyond her athletic success, Jessie excels off the table as well, balancing high-level training with strong academic performance and active involvement in her community. These qualities—maturity, discipline, and focus—will undoubtedly support her as she moves forward in both her athletic and academic pursuits.
We would also like to congratulate Raymond Zhang, Jessie’s head coach, who has been named Coach of the Year. His guidance has played an important role in Jessie’s continued development. Special thanks to Three10 TTC and Coach Lin for their continued support and contribution to Jessie’s journey.
Bowmar extends its heartfelt congratulations to Jessie, her coaches, and all of this year’s Table Tennis Canada award recipients. We are proud to support Jessie as she continues to represent Canadian table tennis with integrity, perseverance, and dedication.
