In this video, together with Butterfly-sponsored player Brian Afanador, we perform a full-table free practice with speed changes. This type of training is essential for developing advanced skills in table tennis, as it requires precision, control, and a quick adaptation to different game rhythms.
Free practice allows you to work on fluidity in strokes, the ability to adjust in real time, and decision-making under pressure. In addition, speed changes force the player to develop a high level of coordination and explosiveness, key factors for optimal performance in competition.
Beyond technique, this practice highlights the importance of physical ability. A high-level player needs endurance, agility, and power to stay competitive in high-intensity exchanges. Reaction speed, footwork, and cardiovascular endurance are essential to sustaining the pace in high-level matches.
We thank Butterfly for their continued support in our development and for providing us with the best equipment to train and compete at the highest level.
