The top four seeded men reached the Quarters in Men’s Singles, and the top four seeded women reached the Quarters in Women’s Singles, as action is down to the final two days at the 2024 U.S. National Table Tennis Championships in Huntsville, Alabama.

Kanak Jha dropped only one game in his first two matches, but his competition is pushing him.  Alex Averin is a 380 rating point underdog, but in two of their three Round of 32 games he managed to reach 10-10 tied with USA’s only male Olympian (Jha won 12-10, 11-7, 12-10), and Ved Sheth took the first game in their Round of 16 match, before falling to Jha 3-1.  On the other half of the draw, second seeded Jinxin Wang logged 3-1 wins over Aditya Godhwani and Nishant Lebaka.  The Quarterfinal matchups later today are Jha versus Darryl Tsao, Sid Naresh versus Xiang Jing Zhang, Nandan Naresh versus Daniel Tran, and Andrew Cao versus Jinxin Wang.

The women have advanced to the Semis, and it will be Amy Wang versus Tiffany Ke, and Rachel Sung versus Hong Lin.  Wang advanced with a tight 4-0 win over Alondra Rodriguez, Ke topped Kayla Goodwin 4-1, Sung defeated Jessica Reyes-Lai 4-1, and Lin outlasted Mandy Yu 4-2.
