Congratulations To Jacob Kordus From Carolina International TT Academy (CITTA)

(by: Coach Di Yu)

We are thrilled to announce that Jacob Kordus has earned a spot on the U-11 Boys National Team at the 2024 US Junior National Team Trials, finishing third overall. He will proudly represent the United States at the Pan American Championships in August.

In Stage 1 of the group matches, Jacob triumphed over Hudson Yang and Joey Yang, advancing to Stage 2. He continued his impressive performance by winning all five matches in Stage 2, moving forward to Stage 3 ranking matches.

Ultimately, Jacob faced tough competition, narrowly losing to Chirag Pradhan with a score of 1:3 and to Evan Dong with a score of 2:3. Despite these close matches, Jacob’s outstanding performance throughout the tournament allowed him to achieve his goal.

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jacob and his coach, Di Yu. Over the past five years, Coach Di Yu has worked with Jacob since he was five years old, guiding him from the very beginning to his selection for the national team. Together, they have achieved this remarkable milestone.

Congratulations to Jacob for his remarkable achievement and best wishes for his future competitions representing Team USA!
