2023 USATT Midwest Championships – May 19-21

Qualification Event for US Nationals – Sanctioned 4-Star Table Tennis Tournament with $2,750 in Cash Prizes!

Venue – Spin & Smash Table Tennis & Ping Pong Center, 9525 OH-161, Plain City, Ohio 43064 (New Location)

Staff – Tournament Director Gloria Price. Dave Fullen, CR/CU is the Certified Referee. Professional facility – 32’ ceiling, Table Tennis flooring, white Nittaku Premium balls sponsored by Paddle Palace, Butterfly Europa tables.

Format – Round robin events with 4 or more players per group with 2 advancing from each group to single elimination (SE). All matches best 3 out of 5. We reserve the right to change formats as necessary.

Rules – All USATT regulations apply; only USATT approved equipment; USATT dress code will be enforced – no white clothing. Players cannot enter 2 events with the same starting time. The top finisher in each event will receive free admission to that event at USATT Nationals.

Teams Event – USATT Clubs from following states are allowed to enter teams in Midwest Region: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. All Teams will submit Roster through email. Only Club admins are allowed to submit rosters. See page 4 for entry form.

I understand USATT’s Safe Sport Policy including the organization’s Coaching Policy, which requires that all persons who are engaged in coaching activities at USATT Affiliated Member Clubs and/or USATT Sanctioned Tournaments, except parents or legal guardians coaching their own children, must be fully Safe Sport Compliant, which includes completing SafeSport Training offered by the US Center for SafeSport every year undergoing a criminal background screen every two years.

I understand that, pursuant to USATT’s Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy, all participants at USATT Sanctioned Tournaments who are over the age of 18 and have regular contact with or authority over minor athletes must complete annual SafeSport Training offered by the US Center for Safe Sport. Payments – Withdrawals through Monday, May 15 will receive a refund. No refunds after May 15. All payments must be received by midnight May 15. Unpaid entries may be deleted May 16. Late entries may be accepted until May 17 with a $5 late fee based on availability. No phone entries. All entries must be paid prior to participation.

Food/Hotel – The playing venue is near several fast food and other restaurants, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Courtyard by Marriott in Dublin and many other options.

Ratings – Ratings from May 1 will be used for eligibility. Updated ratings will be used for seeding. Tournament staff may modify, combine, cancel events and limit total entrants.
