Kanak’s fundraising for Olympic Games 2020 updates
$15,718 of $100k goal
My Story in Brief
When I first started playing table tennis at 6 years old I had no idea where the journey would take me in the next 10 years, but here I am, now 16 and coming off from an incredible 2016. Still 15 years old in April 2016, I became the youngest table tennis player ever to secure a spot at the Rio Olympics and represent USA both in individual and team events. In July 2016, I also became one of the youngest players to win the US Nationals Championships.

I am very thankful to Butterfly, my equipment provider for their valuable support since 2008.

My Big Dream
However, my journey for the next Olympic Games in 2020 begins now. I am extremely motivated to not only represent USA in 2020 Olympic Games but also compete and win against the best players in the world. This will help me get closer to my dream of winning the first medal for USA in table tennis.

As I look forward to 2020, I also have opportunities to compete and succeed at the Youth Olympic Games in 2018 and PanAm Games in 2019.

My Commitment and Request
This will require a huge amount of hard work, dedication, discipline and persistence and I am ready to take that challenge head on. I already live in Sweden, away from home and family because my current club, Halmstad BTK provides me with the most complete training environment and highly skilled resources.

My big dream comes with a huge financial burden and I am therefore requesting all my friends, supporters and well wishers to Direct Fund me as much as they can to meet my goals and objective. I am also open to corporate sponsorship

The funds will be used for the following activities:

My Expenses
Travel for training and tournaments all around the world.
Hotel expenses and meals.
Fitness coach and training.
All training expenses
Living expenses in Sweden (my home away from home)
Physiotherapist expenses
Video Analyses
Sports Psychologist
Additional training in Asia and other Europen countries
Coaches expenses
Online schooling and tutoring expenses when necessary
