Practice makes perfect: US Olympians need work to prepare for media interaction

LancasterOnline reports on USA Table Tennis Team’s visit to Lancaster, Pennsylvania:

Even for some of the world’s best athletes, being in front of the cameras for interviews and media attention doesn’t always come naturally.

That can especially be true in a sport such as table tennis, which doesn’t garner a lot of attention to begin with. Being prepared when those lights come on can be even more daunting.

“They are at the pinnacle of their sport, but that can be intimidating,” said Gordon Kaye, CEO of the U.S. Olympic Table Tennis Team. “If we spend a day working with them to make them more comfortable, that’s important.” Visit LancasterOnline to read the full article.
