Currently in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, the most celebrated sportswomen is Adriana Diaz; increasingly her presence is in demand, time and time again she is in the media spotlight.

Recently the Universal Life Insurance Company of Puerto Rico requested her presence for an event where they were the sponsors; they wanted her to be present alongside another specially invited sporting personality in order to address a gathering of young children.

Met in San Juan
The other sporting guest was a Spaniard of sporting excellence; none other than Rafal Nadal!

Rafael Nadal had a short meeting with Adriana Diaz, before meeting teenagers from the communities of San Juan, capital city of Puerto Rico.

Answered Questions
Both answered questions posed by the local media, with Rafael Nadal, known as the “King of Clay”, the tennis surface on which he excels, being well aware of the pedigree of Adriana Diaz in the table tennis arena.

“He shouldn’t dare to play against me, because I can beat him in table tennis”, said Adriana Diaz, a fact with which Rafael Nadal concurred.

Congratulations
“To be honest, it is an honour to have met this young lady”, said Rafael Nadal. “It is unbelievable what she has achieved, I have been told what she has been doing, so the only thing to do is to congratulate her and encourage her to go forward.”

It was a meeting to remember.

Pleased to Meet Him
“I think he is a good person and I am happy to have met him”, added Adriana Diaz. “He is a good player.”

A good player, he is one not only one of the world’s greatest ever tennis star but surely one of the greatest sportsmen who ever lived.
