2025 US Adult National Ranking Tournament Series Update

The first of the adult national team rankings events was played last week in Burlingame, California.  The 2025 National Teams are adjusted throughout the year with a second national ranking tournament, the US Nationals, the US Open, and the ITTF World Rankings.

In the National Teams Ranking Tournament in Burlingame, it was Jishan Liang that entered as the top seed (with a US Ranking of 2750).  He had a bye in the first round, defeated Nishant Lebaka 4-1, topped Ved Sheth 4-1, and then defeated Sid Naresh 4-0 to take the title.  The second seed was Sid Naresh, and he also maneuvered through the draw with a 4-0 win over Victor Xie, a tight 4-3 win over Xiang Jing Zhang on his way to reaching the Final.

On the Women’s side, Sally Moyland was the top seed (with a USATT Rating of 2507), and she had wins over Kayla Goodwin 4-1, and a 4-0 win over Jessica Reyes-Lai.  The other bye went to Irene Yeoh, and she fell to Jessica in the Semifinals.

As of February 1, the Men’s and Women’s National Team rosters are as shows below:
